Greetings all who seek God:

The Bible reveals God who created the universe and all life.  Mankind was his highest creation.  With his God-given free will man chose to disobey God and the Bible states, Genesis 3:9  “But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?".  We see a picture of the God who seeks us.

Moses the law-giver told the people in Deuteronomy 4:29  “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.”  Jeremiah later quoted God in Jeremiah 29:13  “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”  Why is it necessary that we seek or look for God with all of our heart and soul?  Isn’t he everywhere?

Man’s tendency is to leave God out.  Psalm 10:4  “In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.” It is easy to replace the God who created us and loves us with our own ideas, activities and pursuits.  David in Psalm 14:2—3   “The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.  All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.”

The Bible reveals God as a Creator who loved his creation so much he continues to seek them.  Luke 19:10  “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."  Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah (Christ), the unique Son of God,  came to reveal God to us.  Luke 10:22  "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."  John 14:8—9   Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."  Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”  Jesus is God in the flesh and he has shown us what God is like.

The apostle Paul declared that we can find the true God.  Acts 17:27  “God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.”

What must we do to find God?  WE MUST BELIEVE GOD!  If I were to ask you where you lived and after you told me, I said, “I don’t believe you!” Or if I asked you what kind of work you did I said, “I don’t believe you!”  1 John 5:10  “Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.”  John 20:30--21  “Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.  But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”  WE MUST BELIEVE HE EXISTS, BUT ALSO BELIEVE HE REWARDS THOSE WHO SEEK HIM WITH ALL OF THEIR HEART!!   Hebrews 11:6  “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must BELIEVE THAT HE EXISTS and that HE REWARDS THOSE WHO EARNESTLY SEEK him.”

The Bible presents a plan where we discover all have sinned.  Study the Ten Commandments and see that you have disobeyed God Exodus 20:1—17; Deuteronomy 5:1—21. All have sinned [Romans 3:23].  The wages [what we earn and deserve] of sin is death [spiritual separation from God], but God’s GIFT to us is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord [Romans 6:23]. While eternal life cannot be earned or merited, it can be and is…..conditional!  Only those who place their trust in Christ Jesus’ shed blood on the cross, turn from rejecting Him and submit to Him as Lord over their lives, and having died to sin and the world [repentance] can be buried with Jesus by baptism [Romans 6:1—7] for the taking away of our sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit [the person of God] who comes to dwell with us, guide us, teach us, pray for us and empower us to be like Christ.

It is then that we begin the “new life” in Christ and continue faithful until or unto death [Revelation 2:10; 3:5].  He that endures to the end will be saved [Matthew 10:22].  God is able to “keep” us [Jude 1:24] and give us the power to become His children [John 1:12—13].

Begin reading the Bible and ask questions and study for yourself about what the Bible teaches.  Email us or call if we can help you in any way.

Let us all continue to seek God daily.

May the God of all creation bless you as you seek Him.
